The environment we live, work and play in is important and precious to all New Zealander’s and it deserves our utmost respect. So when it comes to the environment, Treetech takes its role very seriously. From caring for the health and long-term sustainability of the trees entrusted to our care right through to the oil and fuel we use in our equipment, it’s all taken into careful consideration.

Our well-maintained fleet use a bio-fuel additive and kept up to date so as to limit fuel consumption and emissions. We have spill-kits installed in our vehicles and at our premises to ensure prompt clean-up in the unlikely event of any type of accident.

We use biodegradable oil in equipment used around precious waterways and use a non-toxic, salt based compound to enhance decomposition of tree stumps that are inappropriate for stump grinding.

Even the Cobra Cabling system we exclusively use to brace valuable trees is non-invasive and reusable, further limiting the impact anything we do has on our environment.

Everything we trim, cut or prune is chipped and recycled into our arb-mulch which is aged and returned to the ground. We use, encourage and recommend the use of organic fertilisers and compost to all our customers and are always looking for ways to do things better by keeping abreast of research and technology.
